Mickael Broth Awareness Post
Also known as the "Night Owl," Broth is a Richmond-based artist and writer. He moved here in 2001 to create as much street art as possible. Unfortunately, in 2004 he was arrested for vandalism. After his ten-month stent, he pursued a career in the arts. In 2008 he was awarded the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Professional Fellowship for his studio. He is mostly known for his murals but has many works featuring sculptures.

I always found his art style interesting. I loved how bright and colorful they were. I especially loved the pieces where he included the witch. The coolest thing about that piece to me was that he designed it after his wife. In a lot of his work, he includes aspects that relate to his family. I also really love the designs of his sculptures. The movement and colors in the sculptures make them feel fun.
